The Vintage Christmas Junk Journal Kit is 29 printable sheets across 68 pages and five PDFs, laid out separately in US Letter and A4 rather than scaled to fit. It is line work, coarse halftone dots and flat tint on a cream ground, with a quarter inch unprinted margin on all four sides of every sheet — which is also exactly how Christmas ephemera was actually printed between about 1900 and 1950. The period correct choice and the cheap to print choice turned out to be the same choice. Sizes are true: a 6 x 8 album cover trims to 6 x 8, a 3 x 4 journaling card trims to 3 x 4, checked against the drawn geometry rather than the label on the sheet.

A 6 x 8 cover trims to 6 x 8. A 3 x 4 card trims to 3 x 4. A 1.8 in day tile trims to 1.8. Checked against the drawn geometry rather than the label on the sheet, which is not the same thing and is why a lot of packs cut out slightly oversize.

With Ghostscript’s ink_cov device, run on the very PDFs you receive. It reports the average area coverage of each ink channel per page; the 11.3% is the mean across the four channels, averaged over all 29 sheets. The lightest sheet is 8.4% and the heaviest is 20.7%. All 29 figures and the exact command are printed on page 5 of the guide, so you can re-run it on your own copy and check every one.
Is 11.3% actually low?
For comparison, a full bleed saturated sheet measures about 35% the same way, and a solid black page measures about 74%. Roughly two thirds of the 11.3% is the cream ground itself — a blank sheet of the ground with no artwork measures 7.9% — so the line work, halftone dots and flat tint together add only about three points on top of the paper tint.
What about black ink specifically?
0.4% average across all 29 sheets, never above 2.4%. Black is the cartridge that empties first in most home printers, and it is barely touched here because nothing in the kit is a full bleed saturated wash.
What is the 25-day album pack?
