That is why the four seasons pages are twelve slots and not fifty. A list you can finish is a list you keep. And the idea cards are meant to be cut out and put in a jar, so the list comes to you instead of waiting to be remembered.
My kids are different ages.
The Kids' Own Five is one page per kid, and they fill it in themselves. A six year old picks different things than an eleven year old, and both get done. The decks are marked with a color bar and dots as well as a name, so they re-sort even if you print in black and white.
Everything on these lists costs money.
The biggest deck is the free one, on purpose. Forty of the hundred cards cost nothing at all, and another twenty-eight are under twenty dollars. The Free / Cheap / Big page sorts the whole thing by cost, so “we cannot afford it” stops being the reason a season goes by empty.
Do I have to start in January?
No. It is undated and it is built by season, so you print the season you are standing in and start this weekend.
Are the 100 ideas actually specific?
Yes. “Eat breakfast somewhere you can watch the sun come up.” “Follow a creek as far as you can to see where it actually goes.” Not “go to the park.” Every one is written to be doable in the United States without special equipment.
